Retiring List & Some News

Well...it is that time again! The retired list came out on the 1st and once again I lost over 20 sets and there weren't that many on the list! I can't believe that City of David is retiring! I *heart* this stamp set so much! I have used it on all my Christmas Cards.

Here is the list so you can see what you have that is retiring.

Card Details: All from Stampin' Up! - Stamps - City of David, Paper - Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Real Red, Vellum Cardstock, Watercolored on Backside of Vellum, Ink - Staz-On

Sometimes Life Happens!

Well, you think you are doing good and then BAMM...life happens.

My friend and I completed are craft fair, we made about $200 between the 2 of us. Had a LOT of foot traffic but not a lot of buyers as some years. I am trying to find another I can be a part of before Chrismas so I can unload some of this stuff and start making some Spring things before the spring craft fairs start up.

My oldest son will turn 14 tomorrow.

I really can't believe it. We had a "piggy back" birthday party yesterday with my cousin's 16th birthday party. A big crowd at the house!

Yes, his cake is a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, we had already had cake from earlier and then we had a chili dinner with the family, we figured that was enough...plus he enjoyed..hard part was blowing out all the candles! It was one large flame!

I am working on some of the holiday gift challenges on Splitcoast right now. I have been trying to make a pennant banner for the last couple of days, maybe I can get it done while the boys are at scouts tonight.

I will leave you with the CUTEST picture from yesterday's events. My 18 mo. nephew went missing for about 5 minutes...we found him doing what he loves to do best!! Have a great night!

Inspired by Ali

I loved the Christmas frame Ali Edwards pictured on her blog here http://aliedwards.typepad.com/photos/holiday_projects_2006/holiday2.html. Christmas is my favorite time of the year, the smells, the music & the sights!

These frames were so easy and did not take any time at all. My first frame is from last year Stampin' Up! Christmas paper. I made one of the little origami Christmas trees that I had seen on SCS. I stamped one of the little $1 Micheal's stamps (Christmas tree row) and Holiday Hello from Stampin' Up! Circle of Friendship. All the paper was peiced together, they were all scraps that I had in a little baggie.

The second frame is paper from Rob & Bob Studio from Provo Craft. I love their fun and funky Christmas colors. The blues, pinks and greens are awesome in the pack of paper, plus it is only $9.99 for 90 sheets at Michael's! Pretty cool I think. The Joy to the World stamp is from a Inkadinkadoo pack.

Happy Creating!

Craft Fair Goodies

I am FINALLY starting to roll out some goodies for the craft fair! It's about time, the fair is in 1 1/2 weeks! Akk...I better get a move on!

I *heart* craft fair time. I think it is a season in itself. I love seeing what other people make and how they use their creativity. I think it jumpstarts my own!

The frames are from Micheals ($1/each) I coated with mod podge and used it to hold down the Designer Paper from SU! Creative License Simply Scrappin kit. After it was dry I added the embellishments from the stickers inside the kit.

Target had a great deal on Magnetic Acrylic Frames a couple of weeks ago, a 2 pack for 94 cents. I snatched up all they had a used them for the calendars I got at http://www.blogger.com/www.stamponthis.com . I ahve used various stamps and paper for these. I tried to make at least 2 of the same design, so just in case I have a favorite, I won't feel so bad about swiping it!

When I sell a set of cards I package them in a plastic card storage
box. I bought these so long ago, I am not sure where they came from! You can usually fit 6 cards in each box if they are not too bulky. I copy the inside sentiment (if there is one) on plain copy paper and insert it in the back so we don't have to keep opening the box for people to see them.

I saw these cute little ornaments on Marah Johnson's blog (look over on the right hand side for link) and thought they were so cool! I loved them. I am making these for my craft fair but secretly hoping they do not sell so I can put them on my daughter's silver feather Christmas tree...I think theat would be ROCKIN'!!!

Hope you all have a great week and happy creating!

Craft Fair Season

I love this time of the year! I get busy doing my craft fair things and gearing up for the holiday season. I wish the weather would cool off here and maybe I could get a better hang on things.

A new Hobby Lobby opened up here this week and I have yet to get there but tomorrow is a new day.

Ok...on with the Frappacino bottles. I saw this adorable snowman on SCS (my FAV site) http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/418083?sort=&page=&sortby=&sorttime=&sortdir= and I tthought Santa would be great for those filled with some holiday candy and talk about cheap teacher ideas. If you have 4 kids like I do, you have to set a budget for gifts!

I painted the bottles with Santa Red acrylic paint, 2 coats and let dry over night. The black belt belt was ran through a crimper and stuck on with Red Liner Tape. The Liquid Applique works really well on the glass, I was scared that it wouldn't.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cutest Baby In The World

Well, I didn't get to finish all the challenges on blogspot...but I tried! There are some great creations there...you should check them out at www.caardvarks.blogspot.com.

I was in Cincinnati over the weekend for a PTA conference. If you aren't involoved, you should be! (Partly the reason I didn't finish all the challenges!)

I came home to a one-year old nephew. Isn't he the cutest! I love this little program called Smilebox. Here is a fast little scrapbook I made of him! Thansk for looking!
