Craft Fair Season

I love this time of the year! I get busy doing my craft fair things and gearing up for the holiday season. I wish the weather would cool off here and maybe I could get a better hang on things.

A new Hobby Lobby opened up here this week and I have yet to get there but tomorrow is a new day.

Ok...on with the Frappacino bottles. I saw this adorable snowman on SCS (my FAV site) http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/418083?sort=&page=&sortby=&sorttime=&sortdir= and I tthought Santa would be great for those filled with some holiday candy and talk about cheap teacher ideas. If you have 4 kids like I do, you have to set a budget for gifts!

I painted the bottles with Santa Red acrylic paint, 2 coats and let dry over night. The black belt belt was ran through a crimper and stuck on with Red Liner Tape. The Liquid Applique works really well on the glass, I was scared that it wouldn't.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cutest Baby In The World

Well, I didn't get to finish all the challenges on blogspot...but I tried! There are some great creations there...you should check them out at www.caardvarks.blogspot.com.

I was in Cincinnati over the weekend for a PTA conference. If you aren't involoved, you should be! (Partly the reason I didn't finish all the challenges!)

I came home to a one-year old nephew. Isn't he the cutest! I love this little program called Smilebox. Here is a fast little scrapbook I made of him! Thansk for looking!

Wow can you believe it...2 days in a row...See what challenges do to me!

This is day 5 of the Caardvark Challenges. They can be found here http://caardvarks.blogspot.com/. Today's challenge was to make a card using 5 embellishments, doesn't sound to hard, does it? It's a little tougher than what you thin

The card is straight IRL, I hate the scanner, I really need to charge the digital's battery!

A Kid In A Candy Store

That was me last night at my house! My order from the Stampin' Up! Winter Mini Came...needless to say, we ate dinner at 7:00..boy my kids were not happy!

I LOVE this new mini catalog! There is something there for everyone. I am trying to hold off on ordering so much, gotta save up for Sell-A-Bration! I was very good and only ordered 1 set, but it is SOOOOO cute and just my style. It has the cutest little square stamp that says "I heart..." and then you can fill in the blanks. I am seeing some cute Valentines toppers in my future!

I used a challenge from Splitcoaststampers for the idea from my card that you can see here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=199303 . I used Certainly Celery, Taken With Teal & Regal Rose...one of my FAVORITE color combos!

Thansk for looking and have a great weekend!

OK...I admit, I am really NOT good at remembering to do things! Blogging just must be one of them! I will try hearder to keep this updated for here on out!

My favorite time of year is Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love the smells (yumm....pumpkin pie!), the sights and the sounds! I love making homemade things for my family and friends as gifts. This year, I am going to make everyone "welcome" signs and a box of little Christmas note cards.

My family is about as crazy over Christmas as I am, so I am sure they will enjoy their gifts!

I am off to the mountains for a girls family weekend this weekend, I hope to get a little Christmas shopping done, for the harder to buy for people...namely, my KIDS! Ackkk...they all want $200 gifts! Maybe I will just take them to the beach for a week!! See you soon!

Here I am!

I thought it would be nice to have a picture of myself on here so you can see me!

I really forgot I had a blog! So very sorry!

My husband and I have been really busy this week. We added new cabinets and painted our old 70's basement! We still have some work to do on it, trim painting, CLEANING (ackk), and organizing my space.

I was at a Parent Leadership conference all weekend. You can find more about it here www.cipl.org It was such a great experience being around people who truly care about kids and public education.

I have been working on things for a craft fair in November. I will show some pictures next time! Have a great week!
